The buzz from Hot Market Finds

If there is one dealer who has started trends and made a major impact on interior styles in recent years at the wholesale level, it's Bobo Intriguing Objects. The creative eye behind Bobo is founder Mark Sage, who has been traveling to Europe for over a decade, converting discovered objects and salvaged industrial remnants into unique works of art, decorative elements and furnishings.

In 2005 Bobo Intriguing Objects was opened to showcase the blend of Swedish antiques, out-scaled artwork, wine barrel chandeliers and industrial accents that have become the Bobo signature look. The stunning styles caught the eye of Restoration Hardware, who after traveling the globe in search of the right mix of vintage, old-style craftsmanship, and timeless aesthetic, looked to Mark's proven design sensibilities for over a dozen furniture items. Today Mark continues to influence the direction of this large retailer, and creates designs specifically for the Restoration Hardware brand.

A visit to the Bobo Intriguing Objects website is inspiring enough. But if a personal visit to Atlanta's AmericasMart

market is on your calendar, this showroom shouldn't be missed. From the moment you step inside you'll notice a difference...the eggplant-colored space is softly illuminated with light cast from glass wine spheres and wooden chandeliers recrafted from wine barrels. You'll be surrounded by furnishings that have a slightly different take on traditional silhouettes, such as the exaggerated wing chairs dressed in truck tarp canvas, or the deep-seated linen sofa that comfortably accommodates an impromptu overnight guest. I guarantee your creative spirits will soon be soaring in new directions!

To prevent over-saturation of the Bobo line, accounts are available in limited numbers in certain regions. Opening order level is $3,500 and drop-shipping is available to commercial receivers only; no residences. However you may be lucky enough to run into Mark during the seasonal antique fairs held in Round Top, Texas and Brimfield, Massachusetts, where Mark introduces his latest finds under his other business brand of Love Train Antiques.
